[Reserved for sage, at least for now!] At sunset, a figure slowly made its way down the dirt path to the Hog's Head, heels tapping softly on the ground with each step. It was an unusually cold evening, only growing cooler, but her outfit still seemed slightly too warm for the season. [Outfit: i12.photobucket.com/albums/a229/Starcrossed09/BurberryProrsumGlvsMiniHmPg.jpg] She slipped into the pub and made her way directly to the bar with the ease of familiarity. Sitting down on a stool, she tapped her fingers twice upon the counter-top imperiously, and when the aging bartender approached, Julianna said simply, "Kahlua on the rocks." Muggle alcohol was increasing in popularity in the wizarding community, and so the bartender moved away to get her order without questioning it. Julianna seemed at first glance to be unchanged from her months of mysterious absence, with the exception of her hair being slightly longer. However, if one happened to look closely, they might see that her eyes - already a cold, harsh ice blue before - seemed to hold a drop of poison now. Her expression was one of hardness, though that was no deviation from her manner before.

Frost walks into the pub and wearing all black with a black cloak sits down in a corner of the bar waiting for the wench to bring him something to drink. He stares absentmindedly at the table.

[Teehee.. 'Wench'.. Sorry, that word just makes me giggle in my head every time. 'Wench'..]
The wind from Frost's entrance drifted his scent toward Julianna, and her nostrils twitched when, a moment later, it reached her. Before she could stop herself, her head snapped around and her eyes located them. She turned back around just as quickly, and said to the barkeep in a quick, low voice, "Forget the ice. Make it straight up."

The WENCH brought him his ail and he sipped on it tenderly. The last few days had been hard on him. Meeting Erika and everything had thrown him off course. He still loved julianna but he couldn't keep waiting for her. She never even said that she loved him. He was still missing her like crazy. But now that Erika was in his life, maybe, just maybe he thought, he could start over new with someone who actually cared. His face grew cold and harsh. He sensed her presence but thought that it was only his mind trying to play tricks on him.

So furious with him that she's shaking, Julianna whirls around, ice blue eyes flashing, and spits the words out as though they were poison, "I fucking love you, you son of a bitch!" [*cough* Just sayin'. Lol! And lmao, I actually giggle-snorted out loud at the "WENCH".. I don't know why that word's so hilarious, but it is.] The bartender set Julianna's Kahlua down in front of her, and she tossed it back in one gulp. She grimaced as it burned its way down her throat, then tossed a few sickles down on the table and got up. She made her way quickly to the door, letting her hair fall in a curtain to cover her face on the side facing Frost's direction. However, as she was heading outside her heel happened to catch on a rotting floorboard - the Hog's Head wasn't exactly the cleanest, or most reputable place in the world - and she tripped, catching herself heavily on the doorjam and swearing. Why hadn't she worn flats today?

Frost looked over at her and thought he saw julianna, although, he thought that it was his mind again because this womans hair was longer and this girl had a rougher more unpleasant look about her. He finished his ail and walked past her out the door. As he past her, Julianna's presence that he was sensing got stronger but he ignored it. he just wanted it to be her. He slamed the door behind him and walked into the darkened woods.

Outside the bar, Julianna stood on one leg as she fiddled with her opposite shoe, making sure the heel hadn't broken - at least, that was what she was pretending to do. She peered out of the corner of her eye at Frost as he swept past, and her brow furrowed slightly in confusion. She'd thought she would have to be extremely lucky to get out of the bar without him sensing her - but he'd walked right past, passing within a foot of her, and hadn't reacted. What had him so preoccupied that he would be so completely oblivious? Or did he know it was her, and was simply snubbing her? After a moment's hesitation, Julianna set off after him into the woods, relying on her senses of smell and hearing to track him, following at what she thought would be a safe distance behind.

Frost jumped into a tree, hearing someone following him. He looked and saw it was the girl who stumbled in the bar. He decided to jump her when she was close enough to see who she was and why she was following him.

Julianna followed along as quietly as she could in heels, then pulled up short under the tree Frost was in. She walked in a wide circle nearby, taking deep, slow breaths as she tried to pick up the scent again. Weird - the trail just seemed to cut off suddenly.. Then, realization hitting her, Julianna looked up..

Frost dropped down ontop of her, forcing her onto the ground. He pinned both of her legs down with his and held her hands above her head with one hand while the other was around her neck. He let the anger show on his face, eyes flaring and teeth flashing. "Who are you and why are you following me?" he snarled.

On instinct, Julianna bared her teeth in a snarl and let her beast rise up in her. In a moment, her pupils turned to slits and her top and bottom canines lengthened. Her fingertips and toes tingled as claws tried to form there, but she held her control. She let her power ripple along just under her skin for a moment, then clamped down on it to prevent a full change. Exercising great self restraint to keep from struggling, Julianna met Frost's gaze and said sarcastically, "Nice to see you too."

His eyes showed his surprise but his face was as blank as stone. He stared at her for a second and then let go of her. He didn't want to be touching her. He would never want to let go. "Julianna, forgive me. I was unaware that it was you. You have changed. Welcome back, that is, if you came back on your own accord..." He turns away from her looking at everything but her.

Julianna stood up, brushing leaves and dirt off the back of her clothes. She leaned against a thick tree trunk, crossing her gloved arms, and gave a woebegone sigh. "I knew it. I've gotten fat," she said in a faked preppy-girl voice. In truth, she looked skinnier than before - almost unhealthily so. It wasn't that obvious under her clothes, but her cheekbones stood out sharper than they had before her disappearance.

He shook his head and sighed, "No, you look....." He gulped so loud that it sounded as if it hurt. "...fine," he finished without looking at her.

Julianna flicked some loose strands of hair over her shoulder and said, affecting a casual tone, "So. Has anything happened in my absence? Anyone get themselves killed? Oh, please tell me the Hayabusa kids finally died of sheer stupidity."

He shook his head and said, "Not much. and no, they haven't." He walked a little farther away from her and leaned against a tree with his back to her.

"Damn," Julianna says with a sigh. "And you? How have you been?" She stays where she is, adjusting the fit of the gloves on her arms absently.

"You would know if you had been here..." he says in an angry tone.

Julianna glanced up briefly, then resumed her idle task. "Well. Clearly I wasn't," she said flatly. "So fill me in."

"And whose fault is that?" he muttered. "There are a few new people at the school. I have met a few here and there. Otherwise I have been keeping to myself. I need to get back to my dorm. I bid aidue." He began to walk away. He knew that she hadn't missed him and he had to get away before he lost it.
