He smiled at her reaction to the kiss and laughed. He looked ahead and said, "How about this.... lf you let me read one of your stories, I will then engage in any activity of your choice." He grinned at her, flashing a lot of fang.

"An activity of my choice?" Erika asked, grinning back at him. "Well, there certainly is quite a bit of room for interpretation there. I wonder if you did that on purpose. But I have to ask, does this deal come with limitations? Or is this unconditional? I'm talking time limitations, exclusions of activities that may lead to something else, stuff like that." She wanted to be sure that she picked something that worked in her favor as well as his if she was going to let him read her work. She knew it was horrendous, and if he wanted to read it that badly, she had to be able to repay him in some way to make up for it.

He smiled and said, "No sex. And I wont have to necessarily do anything. No long term things, and no commitment type stuff. Other than that, your good to go." He laughed and watched her.

Erika brought her fist up to her chin and thought for a minute. She looked up at Frost a couple times, forgetting her train of thought when she saw the smile on his face. "Does making out count as a long-term activity?" she asked seriously.

He grinned and said, "As long as we can do it in one sitting, then no it's not." He walked up to the beach opening and sucked in the salty air, loving every bit of it.
(shall we go to the beach threads now??)

((We don't really need to. It's the same scene so we can keep it in this thread.))
Erika smiled. "Then it's settled. You can read one piece of my abysmal writing in exchange for one, spontaneous make-out session. The key word there is 'spontaneous,'" she said as she walked up next to him at the beach entrance. She looked out on the water. "It really is nice out here."

He lowered his voice and said, "Yeah, it is. This is where I come when I need to think or to relax." He grabbed her hand and lead her out onto the sand.

Erika followed him, trying to stay right up next to him, but always managing to fall behind. "It seems like the perfect place do relax," she said. "You know, until a bunch of dumbasses come by and start havin' a party or something."

"Surprisingly, not a lot of people come out here. Only the water buggies who need to practice their magick if their mage has anything to do with water." He sits down on the sand and leans his back against a huge log.

Erika watched Frost sit down before sitting next to him. "Well, I guess that makes sense. The pool is too confined to give them much practice. It's good that they have a space like this to work with."

"Yes, I quite enjoy watching them fail horribly over and over again." He chuckled jokingly and looked at her, inspecting all of her features.

Erika looked at him, slightly confused. "Are they that bad? I thought they were supposed to be learning how to control their powers and improve." Her brow furrowed and she bit her lip as she thought. "If everyone can't control their powers well, how will they see me? The only thing wrong with my control is that sometime forcefields pop up unexpectedly. Will I be considered a freak? Shit... that was the one thing I was trying to avoid..."

He added, "Well, these are newbies. They aren't bad at what they do. I haven't even learned how to fully control my own mage so I don't blame the. I mean, i just enjoy it because some of the stuff they get themselves into is funny as hell and they laugh at themselves too."

"I'm still a newbie," Erika pointed out. "Does that mean I'm just lucky that I've managed to find some control of my power? Or does it mean that I'm some superfreak with an extra power to understand everything I do?" She was still talking through her bit lip. She wasn't biting hard enough to draw blood, but hard enough to keep her somewhat calm.

He wrapped his arm around her and said, "Relax, you will be fine and your not a freak. Calm down. You are doing fine with your mage, as much as you can." He hugged her and looked out at the sparkling water.

Erika sighed and nodded. She stopped biting her lip and frowning, finding comfort in having Frost's arm around her. She leaned her head on his shoulder and looked out at the water as well. "Thank you," she said quietly.

"No problem." He kissed the top of her head and closed his eyes, taking in her scent.

Erika closed her eyes as well, enjoying the moment. She shivered and pulled the cloak he'd given her earlier more tightly closed.

Frost grinned a toothy grin as he thought to himself, "Oh, are you cold? I can warm you up." He chuckled to himself as he held her still.

Erika shifted so that she could cover herself more with the cloak. She instantly felt the difference. "That's better," she mumbled.
