Frost walks through the darkness, sulking about his lost Julianna.

Erika walks through the forest, looking around. She has a feeling she'll be coming back here a lot. It was a lot more open than the castle. She stops abruptly mid-step between two trees and groans fairly loudly. I must've activated a forcefield again, she thinks. She quickly gets rid of the forcefield so that she can continue walking.

Frost hears someone walking and jumps up into the closest tree. Sconning the darkness he sees a shadowed shillouette.

Erika continues, completely pblivious to anyone else being around. She stumbles over a root and swears. "I knew I should have come out here during the day.... so much easier to see..."

Frost holds back a chuckle and slowly crawls from tree limb to tree limb until he's almost directly over her.

Erika hears something move above her and looks up to see someone. She raises an eyebrow and chuckles. "Are you just playing on the monkey bars or does everyone at this school get their own personal bodyguard now?"

He drops so close in front of her that his chest grazes her. "I could be a type of bodyguard if you wanted me to be. But no, I was out looking for a midnight snack." He flashes her some fang and turns abruptly, walking away with easy through the trees and brush.

Erika registers the fang and nods. When he turns to leave, she rolls her eyes. "You think a vampire's gonna scare me? Believe me, there's way scarier things in the world."

He rushes behind her with inhuman speed and grabs her by the back of the head and kicks her legs out from under her. "I wasn't trying to scare you, but if you would prefer I did, so be it." He grazes his fangs across her neck, letting her feel the sharpness of them.

Erika creates a forcefield around herself and expands it, pushing him off her. She retreats a few feet and turns back to him. "That's all you got? Come on. You gotta try harder than that."

He smiles and shakes his head, "Sorry love, I don't have time to play games. I have a craving that needs to be sated." He winks at her and walks around her forcefield, headed to where he was going before.

"You could have just said that you needed it instead of saying you were looking for a midnight snack," she says. She summons a dagger. "If you promise not to drain me, I'll donate some so you don't have to hunt for it."

He stops and turns, looking at her. His heart fills with pain when he realizes how much she reminds him of Julianna. He smiles and shakes his head, "I enjoy the catch and we'll play later I promise." He avoided the need comment for he didn't need it, he didn't want anything to do with this girl. He couldn't handle losing a lover again.

"All right. Suit yourself. Just don't try to kill me if you come across me again," she says with a smirk. "I fight back."

He smiles at her and rushes over to give her a light kiss on the neck. He leans and whispers in her ear, "I will fight for this, and I will get it." He chuckles and heads off towards a faint light off in the distance.

Erika can't help but laugh when he leaves. So far all the guys that she'd seen at the school had all been in relationships, but this one didn't seem to be. She'd have to be careful though. She'd known too many guys who'd take advantage of a girl. As she continued walking, she kept looking around, making sure she wouldn't be scared by the vamp.

He sits off in the distance, watching her, laughing as he sees her searching the darkness for him. He sees the edge off the woods near the village and sets off to find an unlucky traveler. To his advantage there was a young maiden walking along the skirts of the town. As she came closer to him, he rushed her and dragged her back into the darkness of the trees. He turned her head to the side and sunk his teeth into her neck. The young girl screams a blood curdling scream before it cuts off and he drops her to the ground. She lay motionless on the cold ground.

Erika hears the scream and sighs. She could have saved that girl, but no. She'd let the vamp go. "Not like it would have done much good," she mumbles to herself. She starts to just ignore it, but her conscience gets the better of her and she runs through the woods toward where she thought the scream had come. Eventually she sees Frost. "A girl? You killed an innocent girl?" she screams at him. "I offered to donate. There's plenty of animals you could have hunted too, but no. You go for a human. What in the hell is wrong with you?"

He gives her hard eyes and says, "So, you see me as just another monster, huh? I would go that low to feed on animals. Their blood doesn't even taste the same. Of course you wouldn't know that. Of course you wouldn't know that the girl is a whore and deserves what she got! No one should whore themselves out for anything, it's below an animal! You don't know anything about me!" He pushes her back into a tree and says, "Pathetic humans and your emotions. She's not dead you idiot." He stomps off muttering, "Dumb ass humans."

Erika's breath catches when he mentions that the girl's a whore. "Not all whores are bad people," she says sternly, practically running to keep up with him. "Some have to do it in order to survive. It's not a question of what they would rather do. It's a question of living on the street with nothing or getting fed and having a place to sleep." She was keeping her voice level, but just barely. This guy had no idea about her, but she had to prove a point anyway. She had to prove it to herself again like she'd been doing for so many years. "Sometimes, whoring is better than what they had in the first place."
